Confidentiality
We can sign a non-disclosure agreement from the first conversation.
When design work goes outside the company, the first question is usually how much you are allowed to say. At Simptech, an NDA can be signed at the first conversation, before any formal order. You can have the terms agreed in writing before you hand over drawings, specifications or 3D data.
Our standard form
Our standard is the non-disclosure agreement template published by the Japan Small and Medium Enterprise Agency. Because it is published by a government body, your legal or IP team can review it as it stands.
We chose that form for three reasons.
- It is mutual. The obligation does not fall on one side only; client and contractor carry it equally.
- It is clear about pre-existing technology and know-how. Intellectual property each party already held, and IP developed independently without relying on the other party's confidential information, stays with that party.
- It is written for the period before manufacturing or development work begins. That is exactly the moment when drawings and technical information pass from the client to the contractor.

We will sign on your form too
If your company already has its own form, please send it over and we will sign on yours. The template above is a starting point for when you do not have one to hand.
If you use an electronic signature service, that works for us as well.
Why we do not publish what our projects contained
Every project we have taken on is covered by a confidentiality agreement. That is why the works pages withhold client names, product names and specific figures, and describe only the engineering content.
Client company names and case studies appear on the results page only where we have permission to publish them.
Your project would be treated the same way. If you would rather it were not published, we will not list it at all.
