When you want to reuse or improve a design, what you have may be a STEP file with no history, or only a 2D drawing. Either way, changing a dimension in SOLIDWORKS means remodelling the part first.
We take on that remodelling. There are two services, depending on the data you have.
From STEP → SOLIDWORKS
We rebuild shape-only STEP files (Parasolid, ACIS and IGES too) as SOLIDWORKS models with sketches and features. Built for large batches of files. Details →

We model parts with a feature history from DXF or PDF 2D drawings. Suited to past products with no 3D data left. Details →
Common to both
Modelled by design engineers. Our mechanical design engineers build each model, comparing it with the original data as they go. Mechanical structural design is our main business.
Sent in SOLIDWORKS 2024, 2025 or 2026 format. Parts as .SLDPRT, assemblies as .SLDASM, saved for the version you use.
Data we accept. Supported: STEP, Parasolid (.x_t .x_b), ACIS (.sat .sab), IGES (.igs .iges), DXF. Ask us first: STL, scanned paper drawings, hand-drawn drawings.
Non-confidential data for quotes. For a quote, send non-confidential data through the quote request page (up to 100MB in total). We can sign a non-disclosure agreement before you send the full set of production data.
